The conversion of Camp Maple Mountain from rental camping sites into a Co-ownership Camping Park is an exciting project that began in the summer of 2012 in one of northern Ontario most beautiful areas. The co-ownership concept is relatively new to Sudbury but after six summers the camp has transformed into a beautiful retreat for this special group of co-owners.
Mr. Lauri Kangas, former Broker of Record for Geo Realty Originators Limited, brought this concept north from the Toronto area where skyrocketing land pricing is giving birth to creative new ways to own and live affordably in that city. The same concept is making camp ownership in Sudbury an affordable option.
There are many multi-generational families now owning and spending their summers together in this serene location. Their pride in our community, combined with the work from Geo, has transformed the once typical, tightly packed RV park into a haven for summer campfires, ATV-ing, boating, swimming, nature walks and more.

Each year Co-Owners residing in the park, in addition to the long term lessees, pay approximately $1500 to $2000 per year to pay for the services they use. Those bills include garbage and sewage removal, maintenance person to maintain common areas, liability insurance and property taxes to name a few..

Each site is equipped with its own water and hydro hook up for your RV. Each site has its own hydro meter so you pay for your own usage. The park is equipped with two black water dumping stations. For a small annual fee, the maintenance manager will empty your tank on a regular basis during the camping season.
